Punica granatum. 'Utah Sweet' flowers in midsummer with unusual terracotta tinted flowers and follows up with similarly tinted fruit in mid to late season. The arils are as soft and sweet as marshmallows yet they're good for you! You can freeze them and then scatter them on ice cream for a unique treat. The pale juice is non-staining and plentiful and the plant is adaptable to most areas, requiring only 100 hours below 40 degrees F to set a crop. As of July 2017 plants are about 20" tall, bushy, with well-developed rootball. Grown in 5" x 5" pots. TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK.
